David A. Berg, M.D., is a 2001 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. From 2001-2008, he underwent residency training in general surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he spent two years doing surgical research on hemorrhagic shock, the inflammatory response to trauma, gastrointestinal motility, and surgical simulation. Dr. Berg completed a one-year fellowship in colon & rectal surgery at the Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA, in 2009. Dr. Berg has presented at many national conferences, including the Society of Laparoendscopic Surgeons, the Association of Program Directors in Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Berg?s special interests include benign anorectal disease, diverticular disease, colorectal cancer, colonoscopy, endorectal ultrasound and laparoscopic colon surgery.
